EVENT DESCRIPTION
This course, presented by experienced attorneys, will address tax controversy issues when dealing with collection alternatives, audits, Earned Income Tax Credit Denials, Liens and/or Levies, refunds, and debt cancellations.
Each attendee will be asked to volunteer for a case within 6 months of the event. Due to this requirement, your information will be shared with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Service.
*** To receive CPE for this event, you must be a CPA, EA, or attorney and register to take on a pro bono case with MVLS. MVLS will contact attendees to register as volunteers.
EVENT OBJECTIVE
The instructors will focus on the mechanics of advocating for the client, interaction with the IRS, and the proper process when battling with tax collection issues.
