Betty Mull is the Chief of Tax Enforcement Section within the Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation's Division of Unemployment Insurance. Betty graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Management Science (concentration in Accounting) from Coppin State University, Baltimore Maryland in 1999; and subsequently obtained her Master of Public Administration (concentration in Public Policy) from University of Baltimore in 2005. Betty has effectively served the State of Maryland in various capacities within the Division of Unemployment Insurance for 29 years, including the oversight responsibility of four units in the section, including the Wage Assistance Unit, Tax Enforcement and Collection Unit, Audit Review Determination Unit, and Field Investigation and Audit Unit. Betty's current responsibilities include oversight of the various programs enforce the Maryland unemployment insurance law, including unemployment tax audit program, investigation of misclassified workers, effective collection tools, payment plans, State Vendors Liability Offset, License Clearance and Tax Clearance; Federal Treasury Offset Program (TOPS), and resolution of audit appeals.
