EVENT DESCRIPTION

From 401k’s to IRAs this course covers the latest implementation, compliance and planning tools available for tax advisors as a result of the CARES Act and Congressional action. It also includes discussion of distribution requirements, rollover rules, planning strategies, contribution limits and penalty situations.

All forms of IRAs are explained, followed by discussion of SEP-IRA and SIMPLE-IRA rules; then moving to defined contribution plans with heavy emphasis on 401-k plans and alternatives. An overview of defined benefit plans options is provided and accompanies dozens of useful summary charts and side-by-side comparisons of plans, compliance and alternatives. Combining a useful review of the rules with hands-on guidance and planning tools, we find this course to be one of those rare classes that is as useful for the beginner as it is for the experienced practitioner. It concludes with a short Social Security summary for reference purposes as the most useful and up-to-date retirement class available in 2021!
