EVENT DESCRIPTION

At first, it was a trickle. Now, the spillway has busted wide open. IRS (Notice 2020-23) has unleashed a torrent of tax payment and filing deadlines for anything from April 1 - July 14, 2020. And, anything includes a lot. RED ALERT: Not everything that appears to be extended has clearly been, however; other critically important deadlines have not been extended. We are all swimming in deadlines. How do we prioritize them? Hacking through 150 pages and we can now provide a practical explanation of the reporting forest.

EVENT OBJECTIVE

The attendee will hear about:
Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, 990 series, 706 (sort of), 709, 1041 and more
Estimated tax payments (new relief)
NOL carryback period, carryback claims, tax credits, protecting statutes
Messy extension language leading to treachery
1031 exchange and 1033 deadlines (July 15 or 120 days?)
IRS FAQ guidance cannot officially be held against them in court
Elections due on returns
Extensions IRS granted to itself (look out)
How to remove a splinter (and other painful stories)
Hundreds more
