As the Principal of Blair & Associates, Inc., I take pride in knowing each client's financial situation and then guiding them to the best financial outcome. I learned from a young age that through hard work and dedication, you can be successful in anything you attempt. I grew up in Martinsburg, West Virginia on our family orchard known as Rosemary Orchards. After completing high school, I attended West Virginia University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. I attended WVU by working hard each summer and finished my degree in four years and no student debt. I then went to work for several local CPA firms in the Mid- Atlantic Area. In 1988, I received my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, and in 1992, I earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. After more than ten years of experience in the accounting, tax, financial planning, and business consulting fields, in 1994 I took a leap of faith and started my own firm. I’m proud to say that Blair & Associates, Inc. is still going strong. Since 1997, my practice has focused on serving the financial needs of small business clients and individuals primarily based in Carroll County and the Mid - Atlantic region. In the twenty two years I have been in business, the accounting industry has changed dramatically. We are no longer filing paper tax returns, the internet is an essential tool, and the way we communicate with our clients is very different. And guess what, the changes will continue happen. I embrace these technological changes and make them work for both Blair & Associates and our clients. Any system, program, or app that will make your life simpler and more efficient I am all for change. Blair & Associates is a leader in using technology to be more efficient and to provide better client services over the last twenty years. I lived in Carroll County for over twenty years and I recently moved to Annapolis area. My wife, Sandi Schultz, is also a Certified Public Accountant in Annapolis. We enjoy the beauty and serenity of living in the country settings and take advantage of a wide variety of outdoor activities and special events that our community offers.
