EVENT DESCRIPTION

This course is meant to demystify cryptocurrency for tax professionals by surveying the basic technological underpinnings of cryptocurrency and walking through several sample transactions. In addition, the course will review the functionality of cryptocurrency accounting software. Finally, the course will walk through cryptocurrency transactions’ federal tax treatment, reporting, and recent developments, including IRS guidance and compliance initiatives.
