EVENT DESCRIPTION
This course will address tax controversy issues when dealing with collection alternatives, audits, Earned Income Tax Credit Denials, Lien and/or Levies, refunds and cancellations of debt. The course will be presented by experienced attorneys and IRS representatives. The instructors will focus on the mechanics of advocating for the client. Interaction with the IRS and the proper process when battling with tax collection issues. Each attendee will be asked to volunteer for a case at the conclusion of the event. Due to this requirement, your information will be shared with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Service.

-Educate their clients on the collection process
-Understand the mechanics of the compromise process
