EVENT DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to meet the 4 hour ethics CPE requirement for Maryland CPAs. Our instructors will cover the standards of professional conduct and business practices experienced by accountants. The course will discuss, through case studies, the ethical dilemmas faced by CPAs. Also included are some cases of AICPA ethics and fraud violations.

EVENT OBJECTIVE

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: 1. Identify when Independence is impaired 2. Identify what is required to be documented by an accountant 3. Identify which services would impair an accountant’s independence 4. Determine what should not be included in an engagement letter
