Ana Barnabe, CPA
First Vice President
Ana Barnabe was born in Portugal and came to the United States when she was four years old. She was raised in Cumberland, RI where her family still resides. She earned her B.S. in Accounting in 1983 from Bryant University in Rhode Island and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Loyola University, Maryland, in 1998. Ana worked in various areas of accounting and managerial roles in a variety of domains, including manufacturing, banking, non-profit, corporate and small businesses. In 2004, she decided to stop working full-time, spend more time raising her triplet daughters and pursue her CPA. Upon obtaining her CPA, Ana started working for H & R Block to gain additional experience in a different area of accounting – taxes. While working for H & R Block, Ana was treasurer for the PTSA for her daughters’ schools from elementary through high school. She volunteered for many functions at her daughters’ schools including co-chairing fundraising, filed trips, chaperoning dances, etc. In 2012, Ana decided to start her own busines concentrating on taxes because she enjoys helping people with tax issues. She focuses her attention on individual, small business, and S-Corps, but does have a limited set of bookkeeping clients. As her clients relocate and requests her continued services, she has expanded her expertise across various state tax laws to support them. Even though her husband says she is a “workaholic”, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children in Ellicott City. As their daughters become self-sufficient, Ana and Dennis look forward to traveling in the future.
